Array People like me who have come to US to study or work for a while are inevitably faced with this question, should we stay in the US or return to India for good. A very huge percentage of them every year take the decision to stay back in the US for good and only visit India once in two years. You can call it the observations of a clear mind or the rantings of a confused mind….Abundunt money, a high quality life, new activities not possible in India, quality of work, dignity of labor, a suave, stylish lifestyle, are, to name few attractions (mentioned by Vikram) which greet people when they set foot on this land of opportunities. What is it that I miss here, that I can find only at home, in India, which compels me to return. Food, used to be a strong motivation for many people back in earlier times, but now you cannot complain of food as a reason for pulling people back to India because whatever you find in any roadside chat corner or dhaba or Saravanna Bhawan, you find it here in the US. I have found all kinds of happiness here in United states, from seeing wonderful places to experiencing thrill and fun as I can never imagine in India. Stay here until you get a green card and return to India. Why so, because, his parents enjoy US and want to stay here more than they want to be in India. I read some of the articles about Web 2.0, Library 2.0 and the future of libraries. All I know is that everything changes and so just as alway libraries will adapt.

With all the growing technology and the demand getting greater and greater from our patorns (who are getting smarter and smarter), it is so much easier to obtain the needed information from the internet using all the knowledge we are learning in this class! There are so many TYPES of libraries from: institutions, documents or materials, subject matter, user services and the traditional professional divisions, reaching acedemic, schools research, public and public lending libraries just to name a few.

It turns out that this was the house of Lourdes, Maria’s sister who had visiting the night before and shared Margarita’s with B. We were heading back out on Ruta Puuc to see some lesser known ruins. We were actually very, very fortunate that Juan knew of these places and we were being afforded the opportunity to see places most tourists don’t even know exist. Maybe they had had enough ruins for awhile too.What a great drive it was to the ruin of Chacmultan. The route wound around hairpin turns, over and around large hills with the great views again. Further down the narrow dirt road that we were parked on was a long chamber building. Since it had recently rained, the road ahead was covered with water. As I stuck my head in one of the chambers, I disturbed a nest of bats and they flew about overhead.As we were discussing whether or not to continue on the road and make the climb to the large building on the hill in the distance, Lizzie started to cry. They would wait for the rest of us to go explore the last ruin.Mickey and family situated themselves in the back seat and we headed out down the road. It was a muddy, bumpy, narrow two track road that cut through the jungle, winding its’ Once we were on the road, we totally lost sight of the ruin in the distance and had to keep an eye out for a turn off to it. As we passed around one hairpin turn, we saw a likely looking path leading up the hill. At this point, the road started to go downhill again. This road was incredible. It was more like off roading than anything else. The road was so narrow, and the jungle so close, I could not do a three point turn. Bouncing and jostling along, and trying to avoid the big boulders in the road, we eventually got back to the path we needed. I let everybody out and forced the Jeep into the jungle, just in case another vehicle should come along this road.

It seems that, not surprisingly, libraries of the future will be user-centered facilities where the needs of the user will take top priority, and planning and implementing will be accomplished with the user in mind.
