The Left Calf: NCAA/NFL Daily Report - 12/24
Array The tired old cliches are all here and the list of those is endless - apart from a few decent SFX shots this creaking heap of garbage will soon be available on DVD to buy - Expect to see it in the Remainder Bin at your local Video Store for about £2.99 when they can’t shift any copies or stumble over a stack of 300 or so shoved by the counter in an HMV shortly covered in dust.

There will be people who reject Jesus and people who embrace him. Embracing Jesus leads to a raising up out of sin and an eternal life of joy. Are you willing to accept the changes Jesus will bring into your life? Will you accept or reject what Jesus wants to do in your life? This Christmas Eve, spend some time celebrating the change Jesus brings into your life.

-ne A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS An artist was painting a winter scene. The apostle John testified In Him was life, and the lifewas the light of men (John 1:4)During this week, as we commemorate the birth of the Lord Jesus, let’s be mindful of how much brighter this worldis because He came into it. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life (John 8:12) How has Jesus brightened your Life ?

-ne The car rental agent showed up with our truck, which was a good thing, as we didn’t have any way to contact them. We also wanted to get an extra set of keys for the rental unit, including the safe key which was missing.

If Kevin Durant just misses the tying shot in regulation, Tennessee wins by 2 and I get the cover. I can feel it.When Kevin Durant and Greg Oden figure out just how dominant they can be, whoooo nellie!Watching part of the Cincinnati-NC State game, I had the feeling I was watching two NIT teams.Boston College can’t shoot the three. If they get overwhelmed in the post, as they did by Kansas, they’re toast.I’d really like to see a Wisconsin-Florida game at some point this season.—There’s no NCAA games today, so I’ll just fold the Week 16 NFL picks into this post. Thirty games to go in the regular season. The rundown:Washington ( 1) to win over St. Louis. Under 43.5.Tampa Bay ( 3) to win over Cleveland. Over 36.5.NY Giants (-3) to cover over New Orleans. Under 47.5.New England ( 3) to win over Jacksonville. Under 36.San Francisco (-3.5) to cover over Arizona. Under 46.Cincinnati ( 3) to win over Denver. Eagles ( 7) to cover.
